Hi everyone,

Thank you again for your prayer support during our recent trip to Hong Kong. It was a very successful trip, though three of us ended up with a dose of flu at the end of the trip which made the return to normal activities at home slower than usual.

Working with the Hong Kong ministry team was again a great joy. It was wonderful to see many familiar faces continuing to support Esther and the ministry both in HK and further afield, and it is a real blessing knowing that the seeds that have been sown in HK over the years are now bearing fruit beyond HK. God has been good to us, and we continue to give Him the glory for ALL that is accomplished through WTCI ministry.

During the two weeks of ministry our team completed 89 Healing Prayer Ministry sessions, so it was a very busy schedule but wonderful to see God’s hand in all that we did.  Some of the most special moments shared with the HK team were times spent in worship together, singing some of the beautiful old hymns and hearing Chinese and English voices blended in joyful worship to our Lord. Music really is an international language, and the richness and depth of truth contained in the hymns lifts the spirit in a way today’s music often fails to do. The riches many churches have lost in putting aside these hymns is very sad!

Week 1 teamOver the two weeks we ministered to all 20 of the HK Level 3 participants, who also were required to join the intercessory team at least once. For most of these participants it was a very new experience to listen to the Lord for what He was saying to encourage the Ministry Recipient, and for some it was at first a hard thing to do. It was exciting to see breakthroughs for the new participants as they gained confidence and did hear from the Lord and found that it meshed perfectly with what the rest of the intercessory team was hearing. Many returned a number of times because they enjoyed the experience so much.

Of the 89 Ministry Recipients, 41 were new contacts who had heard about the ministry and wanted to experience it for themselves. We had very positive feedback from these people and maybe even future ministry opportunities will open up for our teams.
week 2 team On our final Saturday morning we met with the Level 3 class and had group photos taken while we were together. I also had the joy of presenting a teaching certificate to one of the past graduates who has joined a number of teams out of HK.

Overall the trip was a success, many people including our team members were greatly blessed and God had the opportunity to touch lives in very deep and positive ways. We look forward to continuing to hear about the work God is doing in and around HK.
bus rideAs we now look to our work in Melbourne commencing for the year we would appreciate your prayers for the Healing Prayer Ministry Centre which commences on the first Saturday of March and also for the Jesus’ Healing of the Whole Person training course, commencing on the third Saturday of March. Please pray for all our preparations and for those whom God wants in the Course to register and attend.

We look forward to another fruitful year of ministry, and thank you again for your continued interest, support and prayers. I leave you with the powerful words of one of my favourite hymns.

Blessings in Jesus,
Karen Seymour

And Can It Be – Charles Wesley

  1. Long my imprisoned spirit lay
    Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
    Thine eye diffused a quickening ray,
    I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
    My chains fell off, my heart was free,
    I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
  2. No condemnation now I dread;
    Jesus, and all in Him, is mine.
    Alive in Him, my living Head,
    And clothed in righteousness divine.
    Bold I approach the eternal throne,
    And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
